The Chatsworth field office of Los Angeles county supervisor Michael D. Antonovich has an immediate opening for a clerical intern. This is a paid position. The field office is responsible for delivering effective and efficient constituent services. Intern duties include a variety of clerical tasks, answering phones, greeting visitors, processing mail and fielding questions and concerns from the public. Candidates for this position must be currently enrolled in a college or university and be competent in MS Office, Outlook and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. This is a front office position where candidates are required to be neat, well groomed and in appropriate office attire.
Candidates must be prompt, dependable and demonstrate a professional and helpful attitude toward serving the public. Prefer someone who has knowledge of the local community. Intern must work between 24 and 28 hours each week and make a 1-year commitment to the Chatsworth office; time is flexible between 8 a.m. And 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, to allow for individual academic commitments.
