Be Aware & Beware: Employers use social media for background checks

Do you have a Facebook page?  Ever Twitter?  Are you on LinkedIn?  Better pay attention to what you post because it’s in the public square and everyone can see it.  Including employers who may be considering you for hire!  Read the following article from CareerBuilder for details.

Also, drop the silly college student email address and be sure to have a professional-sounding voicemail message.  Your friends might enjoy them, but employers will not be impressed by goofiness!
